5/26/2023 0 Comments Best handbrake settings for bluray![]() The level of thought some people on this thread have given to each and every setting is impressive but for newbies just getting their arms around this stuff I would say, keep in mind that you're not launching the space shuttle here and there are no dire consequences if you don't get the settings exactly right. Sure it would be time consuming ro reconvert hundreds of movies but it doesn't really take *that* much time to set up large queues and just leave Handbrake running while I'm sleeping or at work. But then I think, so what? If a bigger set does reveal flaws I didn't notice before I'll re-rip and either try again at lower CQ settings or for some movies just keep the full rip MKVs on my server instead. ![]() This works just fine for me however I only have a 40" TV and the worry in the back of my mind has always been that I may not be satisfied with the quality anymore once I upgrade to a bigger TV (soon I hope, probably 65 or 70"). My own experience is that after some tinkering to start I finally settled on CQ 21 for all bluray rips and 19 for all DVDs. You can only have 4 TB's harddrive and i'm not sure i want a harddrive with hellium.hasnt been there for long enought. I know 4k BR are already comming out.but at some point you won't be able to follow because of the size restriction. i'm not talking about jsut a little pack of 20 br's. but i don't want to repeat this process every once in a while. In another hand, it always goes to what do you think acceptable. Then it is the difference between 600 megs and 3.5 gigs for the audio track ![]() ![]() Of course if you only have an AC3 and an BDLCMA. This is the difference between 1.5 gigs and 3.5 gigs just for an audio track I don't beleive the difference between DTS and HD DTS is that much. The last 2 options defines how big my output file will becomeĬonsidering how large the TV are becoming (2.40 panoramic).i'm divided in the fact that i should go for higther quality rather then keeping a descent file size. ![]()
